PMP Exam Prep Course
PMP Exam Preparation Course Information
Registration for the Spring 2020 PMP Examination Preparation Class has begun!
Our chapter offers a 14-week PMP Exam Prep Workshop in the Fall and Spring each year. The core course, 12 weeks (36 hours) of class time, is devoted specifically to PMBOK topics. Two additional classes (6 hours) are provided to give students who may need to miss one of the core classes the opportunity to still obtain 35 contact hours to meet the PMP application requirement. The additional courses include an evening focused on Agile methods, and an evening focused on practicing exam questions.
The course fee includes:
- 42 hours of classroom instruction
- Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Sixth Edition textbook
- Rita Mulcahy's PMP Exam Prep System, including
- PMP Exam Prep textbook, Ninth Edition
- PM FASTrack Cloud Online PMP Exam Simulator (12-month subscription)
- Hot Topics flash cards
- USB Flash Drive with digital copies of all course materials.
Students should note the class assumes that all attendees have the requisite knowledge and experience to sit for the PMP certification exam. Sessions are facilitated by PMP-certified Chapter members, offering first hand exam knowledge and tips, as well as their valuable experience as project managers in local organizations.
Participation in UNY PMP Prep Workshop program is not a guarantee that you will successfully complete the PMP certification exam. However, the class does boast a successful passing rate from students who do choose to sit for the PMP exam. While the course is geared toward prospective PMP exam takers, the course also meets the education requirement and covers the requisite content needed for the CAPM exam.
Please note that participants are not considered registered until payment has been received. Seats are available based on a first come, first served basis. The class routinely sells out, so register early to ensure you get a seat! If the class fills to capacity, you may request to be added to the waiting list by emailing our Vice President of Professional Development. Individuals placed on the waiting list will have a first come, first served basis for the next workshop.
