PDU Reporting

PMI Global tracks all PDU activity for all chapters. The Continuing Certification Requirements System (CCRS) will impact the way each certified PMI member qualifies to maintain the certification and record Professional Development Units (PDUs).

Please refer to the link to  PMI Global’s Web site that breaks down PDU Categories and Structure and Policies.

There are six (6) PDU categories that fall into two (2) divisions - Education and Giving Back to the Profession - as illustrated below.

EDUCATION
GIVING BACK TO THE PROFESSION
Category A: Courses offered by PMI’s R.E.P.s or Chapters and Communities
Category D: Creating New Project Management Knowledge
Category B: Continuing Education
Category E: Volunteer Service
Category C: Self-Directed Learning
Category F: Work as a Professional in Project Management

Under the heading GIVING BACK TO THE PROFESSION CATEGORIES:
  • You may not earn more than a total of 45 PDUs in the three (3) “Giving Back to the Profession” categories per cycle if you hold the PMP and PgMP credentials.
  • You may not earn more than a total of 20 PDUs in the three (3) “Giving Back to the Profession” categories per cycle if you hold the PMI-SP and PMI-RMP credentials.
